Please accept this as your formal invitation to participate in the 2020 5S Summer Training Program commencing June 8, 2020 and concluding on August 28, 2020. Each such session will be conveniently located at the Vadnais Heights Sports Complex.
5S Training will continue to incorporate cutting edge skill training programs, Scoring Strategies, Stick-Handling Programs, our Brower Timing Systems, and Variable Goal Training (VGT). These training programs will be used to enhance each and every skill necessary for the development of the complete hockey player. Every drill will be done at full speed in a competitive environment whereby it will be our goal to instill the skills necessary for each and every player to get their hands, feet, and mind working together at top speed. These training programs will be used to enhance each and every skill necessary for the development of the complete hockey player.
The 2020 staff will include Billy Hengen, Joe Jensen, Joe Cullen, Paige Jahnke, and Eric Hartzell. All of the instructors have extensive coaching and playing experience, with each coach having played Division I Hockey at elite programs and many of the coaches have played professional hockey. Each coach has been trained in the programs mentioned above and are committed to the very best in your player's hockey development. We promise to make your athlete a better hockey player this Summer.
In addition, the best on-ice training available, the 5S Training Program includes off-ice strength training that is without equal. The strength training will occur at the PowerHaus Gym located near the rink. The facility is one of the best in the State of Minnesota for the development of the modern hockey player. This World Class facility includes Kaiser Squat Machines (no spine compression), Freemotion Stationary Bikes, 40 yards of Artificial Turf, Rogue equipment and a synthetic ice puck shooting area. Our strength training program was designed by Jayme Pantekoek, Owner of Full-Strength MN. Coach Pantekoek understands fully the body composition necessary for the development of the modern hockey player. He will focus on increasing strength, quickness, flexibility and agility in each and every hockey player, all without putting unnecessary wear and tear on a player's joints. Such training will incorporate Yoga and other complementary activities.
